SAMURAIS UNIFORMS
Old warriors, and an important piece in Japanese history, the samurais are considered one of the best forces in the world. Discipline combined with art, grace, and strength make these ancient “soldiers” one of the most memorable; one of the things that catch the eye, is the way they dressed, the kimonos that they wore were made with different fabrics for each season, something that has become natural in the army textile industry nowadays, cotton for cold times and silk for hot, were the main materials used into the fabrication of the samurai uniforms. But, compared to the army textiles these days, the uniforms were heavy but still allowed them to feel comfortable when fighting. Also, the uniforms must help to carry the samurai’s weapons, like swords and knives. Beside the kimono, they were sometimes wearing and armor underneath the uniform and instead of what can be considered normal footwear for a soldier (I know they were not considered soldiers but some of their tactics are used in the army nowadays), they were wearing sandals and socks (not like Kanye tough), and there was an era were bear boots were worn, but they didn’t last long. So, would you like to dress like a samurai?
